Watering the Plants and More...
Patrick really wanted to take his new car out for a spin. So, they drove down the street to a neighbors house. They had a lot of fun.

Patrick's B-Day Party at Chuck E. Cheese
Giving Mommy a kiss!
He is so proud of his very first car. I told him to drive safely and to be home by 10.
They made it back just in the nick of time! (Thanks Nana!)

September 6 Jayhawk Football Game
Amanda is doing a rotation in Kansas City and so the boys and I drove to visit. They really miss her (me too). Since Lawrence is so close we did a little side trip to visit an 'ol friend. While there we ate dinner and went to see the Jayhawks play football against Louisiana Tech. Jayhawks won 29-0 on a rainy misty cool evening. This was Matthew's first game. Acually, Amanda and I took Patrick when he was a wee one but he wouldn't remember that. So, we can comfortably say this was their first game. At the game the boys saw the football game, lots of cheering people, and the band play after the game. Sunday night after we had driven back home I was talking to Patrick about a recap of the weekend. We talked about driving to Kansas City to see Mommy, going to Lawrence and getting a wooden train set for his birthday from Glenn, going to Jefferson's for chicken wings (he remembers the corn dogs), the football game and the big foam hand he got with the jayhawk on it, and then after the game the band playing Home on the Range, in which he then preceeded to sing the entire first verse. Since he was born in Kansas, it must be in his genes.
